Hello ⸜(˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝ I’m Rida, an MA philosophy student at the University of Guelph. I do research on the ethics and phenomenology of human-machine integration, with a specific focus on Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs). I also have interests in AI and robot ethics, especially when and where these intersect with cyborg ethics.
Currently, I’m working on my thesis project, which examines how concepts and perspectives from 4E cognition are being applied to ethical debates about BCIs, particularly around questions of access and ownership.
Alongside my academic pursuits, I like to make art, read sci-fi, design things, and imagine a brighter future.
